Hi everyone, I have a small problem.
I started a mangos server on linux, everything works fine, I can connect to the server & the other can too. The server works, everyone can connect, I see the realm online ingame, but on the website it appears offline... I tried with mangosweb & spora, they both show my server offline.
I need to know what to do in order to fix this... so any help is greatly appreciated.

I've managed to set up everything and everything runs smooth except for one wrinkle in the plan. I'm not able to use UBC SQL data because I'm missing fields from my Item template data. I should have 141 entries and apparently I do not have it. However,when I load in the one that mangos have by default, the game runs fine. it's just that I cannot use UBC in order to take advantage of gears, npc, and etc. It would be helpful if you can tell me why. I'm running a 4874 Core.

ubc? do you mean udb. and upgrade your core. the newest udb supports 5242.

btw thank you Quakes for helping people while i wasnt here. it helps a lot =)

and xsite. i've never set up mangos in linux. (even though i love linux) and i've never used anything past a basic spora for a website.

Not sure what sub table needs to exist with what info it needs to have. I read past post's and from what I gather. UDB aint updated.

Try this guy: Reaper Mangos 5472 - Easy WoW Private Server for World of Warcraft 2.3.3 Reaper-X .:[ ID ]:.

I think he just updated almost to the latest core.

I got a problem, when i run the DBC extractor it says the file failed, I have EUGB verison and i edit it to look in GB one, but it didnt work,

10x Quakes69 I fix the problem...there is mistakes in the sql files it tooks me two days to figured out but now all its ok :P

i think the DBC_eztractor is busted... i did what it said and put it the 3 files that were in the zip (not including the readme) into C:/program files/world of warcraft/data/enUS

and then dubble clicked on the exstractor.bat file to exstract the files needed, then i just get a error saying

"MPQW.exe - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135), Click on OK to terminate the Application"

sinester that is a windows error. i've tested the extractor and it works as it should.

sometimes computer manufacturers modify their windows and they dont always contain everything they should. ex. my friend bought an emachine and it was missing cmd.exe

Alright I did everything you instructed, and I'm still running into errors. I'm using Mangos Rev. 5524 and UDB_0.9.2.

I'm getting "ERROR:Error in creature_template table, probably sql file format was updated (there should be 63 fields in sql)." when I start up realmd.bat

One thing I'll like to point out is, I'm able to view the server and successfully login. But whenever I try to join the realm server, I just go back to the realm selection screen (I'm guessing this is because of the error).

Can someone please help me? I've wasted an entire day trying to solve this. Here are some illustrative pictures.

Disregard my last message, I was able to correct the problem by updating the sql files from "mangos/sql/update" folder. I ended up manually batching the database with the updates (which was a drag).

But everything works fine! :] I'm just flying around all over the server.. wickedly fun

Firstly, I'd just like to say, this guide is a godsend. Initially I didn't even know where to start with MaNGOS... and thanks to this guide, now I've stumbled on my first server admin bug.

Anyway, onto the problem. I've worked through the guide using the resources provided within, yet upon initialization of mangosd.exe, an error is produced:

Loading Game Object Templates...
Error in gameobject_template, probably SQL file format was updated (there should be 33 fields in SQL).

I can't seem to isolate the cause of this. I've used the UDB release 0.9.3, MaNGOS 5629, and with WoW-TBC US Patch 2.3.3.

This error was avoided when I tried using the magnos.sql file in the sql folder instead of the UDB sql file, but naturally, that database was empty, which presented an issue. Or rather, a lack of them, as well as a lack of... anything. Also, when I attempted to connect like this, the WoW title screen instead displayed the title of the last server I'd connected to, and a login attempt resulted in the everlasting handshake.

So, I reverted to UDB 0.9.3, and sure enough, the error returns. And I'm once again stumped.

Any assistance or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Directly above the aforementioned error, mangosd.exe reports that 'locales_creature', 'locales_gameobject', 'locales_item', 'locales_quest', 'locales_npctext' and 'locales_pagetext' are all empty. Could be related so I thought I should add that.

your error is linked to incompatible mangos version for you udb. check the rev number they recommend for udb 0.9.3 on their forums and use that version. same for you pirke

mangos has not come to be with the 2.4.1 generally what they do is work all the bugs out first unlike ascent that releases quickly with bugs.

Ah, thank you. I must admit, with this being my first foray into emulation, the version numbers were rather confusing and I took "5578+" a little too literally without realising 5629 was a much newer version. I shall try an earlier version, one released closer to UDB 0.9.3.
