Re: how to setting the luna's website

Ok, i wanna give some help here. I made a registration page, (my own registration page), just simple but dynamic one.

    First thing to do:
    1. Download Wamp Server here:
Download WampServer 2 - Download PHP, apache, MySQL

    2. Install Wamp Server. You decide where to place it. Mine, I placed it at C:\wamp.

    3. Download my registration files:
    Megaupload

    4. Extract it on where your wamp folder is located, at the folder named "www". Mine is located at C:\wamp\www\

    5. You should've set your odbcad32. If you followed the steps correctly in the guides, there would be no problems on the way.

    6. Open the .php files, "register.php" and "responsexml.php", and change the parameters inside odbc_connect(). Look at the images below to guide you.

6.1 First, change the data source name with the data source name of your Luna Member.

    In the
    Code:
    $conn = odbc_connect('luna_memberdb','sa','pinoyako');
line, the first parameter is the string 'luna_memberdb'. Change it to the data source name you created in the odbcad32.

6.2 Change the second and third parameters. They are your Login ID and Password in odbcad32.

    In the
    Code:
    $conn = odbc_connect('luna_memberdb','sa','pinoyako');
line, replace 'sa' and 'pinoyako' with your respective Login ID and Password.
You should do this stuffs to all php files. There are only 2 php files you should change.

    7. We're through of the registration page. Now, find your wamp server shortcut at your desktop and double click it. You should find "Wamp Server" in your desktop if you checked the Create a Desktop Icon in the wamp server installation. But it's checked already in the installation as setup default.

    8. After double-clicking, there should be a wamp server icon in the system tray.

8.1 Left Click it and choose Start All Services.

8.2 Left Click it again and choose Put Online.

    9. Go to Start -> Run -> type cmd. Inside the command prompt, type ipconfig and get your IP Address.

    10. Now open your web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.). Put in the address bar your Local IP Address that you get from the cmd and concatenate this string "/registration.html". Example: 192.168.1.9/registration.html

    11. After typing or placing, press Enter. You should see the registration form.

We're finished in testing our registration page. Now, to make it online for others to view, follow these steps:

    1. Find some web hosting sites. Mine, i used DynDNS.com - Free Domain Name, Managed DNS, Email Services
Look at the images to guide you:

    2. Then go to your email address, find the message sent to you by dyndns.com in your inbox and click the activation link. You'll then be directed to your account page in dyndns.com. Click the Activate Services button.

    3. Copy the web address of your newly created host.

    4. You're now finished in the hosting site.

    5. Now, we try our website if it works. Turn-off your windows firewall or add an exception for port 80. Click Start -> Control Panel -> Windows Firewall, Go to exceptions tab then click Add Port button.

    6. Now, go to your web browser, paste your web address in the address bar and concatenate this string "/index.html". Example: http://mylunaonline.game-server.cc/index.html. Then press Enter. If you were directed into your modem/router's web page, then your website is now working and online. Let your friends try to see if it works. If they can't view your website, then my only solution to it is to turn off your firewall.

    *Edit...

Also, I forgot to say. This is if you're not sure your port 80 is not open. So, you need to port forward it. Go to your web browser, type in the address bar "192.168.1.1" and find Port Forwarding. I think, you'd log-in first to view the feature. If you don't know your User and Password, try this:
    username: Admin
    password: Admin

I'm not sure of this User and Pass so you need to do a little research about your router or just contact the vendor or the manufacturer.

If there are Port start, Port End, Port Map, fill it up with "80". If there's IP address needed, then put in your Local IP Address, the one you get from cmd.
You should enable your Forwarded Port. I don't know how you would enable it since there are many faces of router's page. Just try researching. .

I hope this guide would help you. Thanks for reading!

Just a quick follow-up. Some routers use 192.168.0.1 as their primary local network server IP. If you cannot pull up your network controls to access port forwarding using 192.168.1.1, try using 192.168.0.1

Re: how to setting the luna's website

    1. Have you followed the steps correctly? You installed the wampserver successfully, opened it, and is it on the system tray? Have you started the services and put it online?
    2. Did you only double-clicked the file registration.html in your folder or wherever you put it? If yes, you're doing the wrong way. First, go to the "www" folder of your wamp folder (mine's at C:\wamp\www), make a new folder and name it. For an example, i'll name it "reg files". Extract registration files.rar in the "reg files" folder. Now, go to your web browser and type in there or just copy this link and paste it at the address bar:
    http://localhost/reg files/registration.html

Or through using your Local IP address, not the localhost:
    192.168.1.9/reg files/registration.html

Note: Replace "reg files" with whatever you named with your folder.

It would be good if you put the registration files in a folder inside the "www" folder of wamp so that it would be in order and will not be mixed with other files.

Re: how to setting the luna's website

You can just use your IP. . Go to IP Chicken - Whats my IP address? ip address lookup and get your ip there. . Copy it, then paste in your browser's address bar or anywhere and then add ":80". You should check if WampServer is already online (Put Online).
    Example:
    112.223.2.10:80

Use it if you already changed the content of index.php that is found in your "www" folder that would make a redirect action to your registration page so that you wont add the place where your registration file is.

Or if you don't want to edit the index.php, just add the place where your register page is found:
    112.223.2.10:80/reg_files/registration.php

"reg_files" is a sample folder where, for example, your registration files are found. . And this folder is/should be inside the "www" folder of your wamp.

Let someone try your link to test if they'd gonna see your page. . If they see a router page, then you should do port forwarding. .

And yes, unfortunately, dyndns doesn't have free trial anymore. . So, just do a little googling on Free hosting sites. . Then try them out. . ^_^

Lelz! 112.223.2.10:80/reg_files/registration.php is just an example. . Please read again. . And oh, my mistake. . It's registration.html rather.
    To make it simple:
    1. Go to ipchicken.com
    2. Copy your IP address
    3. add ":80/yourRegFolder/registration.html" with the IP you get. So, it would now look:
    youripaddress:80/yourRegFolder/registration.html
