I would have to agree. This is constructive criticism and is not meant to be offensive or anything:
I think your skills need to be massively improved. By the looks of that layout it looks like you've just ripped bits and pieces from different fansite layouts, put it together and added your own boxes and added a default font (the text in the sideboxes).
However for your attempt posting here; ill give you a 3/10
