    Does drop equal dc?

    Hello Ragezone,

So a friend asked for my help on his server, and I found out hes using a mapleblade source, I know that these sources arent known for being super stable.
He is having a problem that whenever a lot of monsters get killed (its high rate) the player dc's, so I did some testing on my server. Turns out that players have a bigger chance of dcing when the monsters drop a lot of items each (mushmom which drops a lot of meso bags dc's very often and headless horseman who barely drops anything barely dc's).
Its not the quantity of the items on the ground, because I often dc on as soon as the first mushmoms die. the same goes for all the mobs that drop a lot of items.

So I was wondering if perhaps anybody knows if the drop method of MapleBlade based sources are broken/bad and if anybody has a fix for them. (just telling me if im right or wrong would help me out a great deal)

    tl;dr
Is the drop method in MapleBlade based sources broken? Does anyone have a fix?

Oh god.. Owning a high-rate server off of MapleBlade myself, I must say it was pretty unstable. When you get popular, maps will crash even faster just due to the player activity within a map. MapleMap and MapleMonster are not synchronized properly, do not have/use locks, and are poorly used or changed it seems. The maps will deadlock after a while of disconnections over and over. I re-wrote these two classes and no matter how many people or mob kills on high EXP, I never DC. If your mob drops are disconnecting you, check dropFromMonster out; it's probably related to that area of the monster dying and drops being sent.

However, this isn't just MapleBlade, it seems it's like this on almost every source. I had a 2k rate v117 server that dc'd like crazy from mob kills as well.

Yeah, its avorestory, which has a lot of methods that tiredstory has, and tiredstory is mapleblade.
I told my friend to change source now that its not too late (1 month ago) but he didnt. So now when he wants to change source he has to wipe most stuff. Anyway, thanks for your response, are the MapleMap and MapleMonster files by any chance in EricMS? saves me the troube.

    thanks again.

The ones I re-wrote was when I wrote my new source, but the EricMS Reborn Source may have fixed some of the mapleblade map crashes that I and others had fixed back in the day. They should be similar if you're using blade as well so feel free to try them out.
