    Getting my server online help!!!

Hi guys, I got my server to work on the 127.0.0.1 ip, but when i try to get the server to the point where other people can go on also, I can't seem to figure out which ip to put in.

I search my public ip on my browser and i get a totally different ip than the one when i click settings --> network.

Also I have no idea if i'm port forwarding right. I portforwarded already for minecraft, which worked, but what do i set my beginning and end port as, do i select TCP or UDP or both?

When i use localhost to start my server, I get the maintenance notice.

    Thanks in advance!!

    *Update*
The server still isn't going online though, is there anywhere that i missed where i should have put my ip?
I'm using the ZenthosDev src and it's in the dist file, server.properties, as well as in the localhost. Any idea where i might have missed a spot?

    What version are you on?
Did you check your ports were open with a port checker?
Are you using a localhost or redirector?

Public IP is your address for your router to the internet, and the Network IP is your address for your computer connecting to your router. If your planning on hosting a server for other people. I would use the Public IP found through your web browser for your client.exe (example: maplestory.exe) and host your server off your Network IP and also port your address using your Network IP.

The reason for that is that players would connect through your router using your Public IP and if you port forward your router, it would direct the connection to you computer where your server will be running off the Network IP address which is the connection between your computer and your router, allowing players to connect.

The regular ports use for v83 are 8484, 7575 + (1 * number of channels). Example: I have 3 channels, meaning I would port forward 7575, 7576, and 7577. This could be different depending on the source.

For TCP or UDP, I would use both if I had the option, but likely you would use TCP as standards for both beginning and end ports.

When i port forward, do i create a port for 8484 too?

Why not try out a different source and see if it works for you.
