My friends can't connect to my Private Server V.83 (MoopleDev).

I've made my own private server. Everything works just fine but my friends can't join my PS. I've gave them my edited localhost called BrokenStory.exe and they putted in their V.83 Folder but they still can't join.

    Did you:
    1) port forward?
    2) Change your ip in your properties file?
    3) Hex edited your local host properly?
    4) If you're using hamachi, did you do 2 and 3 with your hamachi ip and have your friends joined your hamachi network?

    EDIT:

    Seems like I got ninja'ed

Re: My friends can't connect to my Private Server V.83 (MoopleDev).

i typed my IP address in the address thing (srry i am dutch dunno how to pronounce it)at the top of my screen. i went to virtual servers and there was a list with empty boxes so i filled them in with:

enable description Inbound Port type Private IP address privateport
    1. yes MapleStory 3305-3310 TCP 192.168.2.2 3305-3310
    2. yes MaplesTory 8070-8490 TCP 192.168.2.2 8070-8490

i did this with the 2 above 7570-7580, 75-85 and i also added the same ports but i changed the type to UDP. I dont know if this is portforwarding. or even necessary.[COLOR="Silver"]

edit the serverconstants to your wan ip or own ip adress using netbeans then portforward it then paste the netbeans project dist folder to your dist source folder then edit your localhost to your wan ip or your own ip adress then share your client to your friend then ask him to play your server.

i using my own ip adress my friend can play my server i working it before i post it to forum.ragezone.com/f429/

Re: My friends can't connect to my Private Server V.83 (MoopleDev).

It seems that i am having the same error as you.
i've hex edited correctly, edited my db.properties also.
I'm not sure if i have correctly port forwarded. can you explain to me why i need to portforward?
also, my friends can login, but they get stuck when they are choosing their character, they go back to login screen immediately after double clicking their character.
Creating is fine. I am using moopledev v83.
Currently using mysql. I have done everything right, I ,myself can login. I don't see the reason why they can't?
They have already joined my hamachi network. Is there something wrong with my firewall or antivirus?
    Can someone enlighten me please.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.

To know if you have correctly port forwarded, launch the server then go to
    Open Port Check Tool
    and type in "8484"

Error: I could not see your service on 119.74.181.225 on port (8484)
    Reason: Connection timed out

What could this mean? I have not portforwarded correctly? Can you teach me how? i'm using 2wire MIO.
    ---UPDATE-
Problem solved. Thanks man. I reread the forums and found the guide. But i still have to check whether my friends can connect to my server.
    ---UPDATE-
    They stil can't access =.=

What is the way to "properly edit" your local host with hex edit? Same as the client localhost?
