"Hot Time Event" Questions

Hot Time Event is a pretty common event in the official servers so I thought I'd ask if there's a possible way to code it in PS. I've seen SimeTreeNET done it but I'm unsure of how it works behind the scenes.

All I can think of is having a timer started each time you login & resets each time you logout but how it actually gives the reward, that's where I'm running out of ideas.


Take note;
I'm talking bout having it work on pre-bb versions such as v62 and v83.

& for those who're not unsure how this work, it's like being online at a certain time of the day for 1 hour exactly will get you a reward automatically. If you log off, the timer resets.
