unable to connect to login server due to server check MSv83

I am trying to set up a maplestory private server on v83 using the heavenms server files on localhost. I have followed all of the instructions in the README and once I run the HeavenMS-localhost-WINDOW.exe, I get the following error:



I have also created a private server a few months back following a tutorial by xxoen and when I ran the client at the time it was fine. But when I run it now, I get the aforementioned error. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

I have tried:

• disabling/re-enabling the firewall
• rereading and following the setup process again
• restarting my computer
• making sure wamp is open

After setting up the server on a different machine, I have been able to pinpoint the problem. When I start the server up, it starts on an all 0 ip address which was why I couldn't connect. This was probably a mistake on my part (oops), not sure where though. I will make sure to reply when I find out what went wrong.



Luckily, when I set it up on my laptop, I could connect with no issues! Thanks for your reply Bradley!

Reinstalling wamp server and updating mysql workbench seemed to solve the problem!

No problem and glad to be of assistance, relieved that it's all sorted now; so was it to do with ports to be exact? @saist
