Got a working v118 setup now , but how can I update from v118.1 to v118.3 ( not the source , the files ) & when I try to launch Edolas localhost on windows 8.1 , nothing happens
Depending what was changed from v118.1 and 118.3 you'll have to apply those changes. If the only change was in the client then you'll need a v118.3 client. WZ files are not defined with sub versions afaik so they will work, but if there are changes between v118.1 and v118.3 wz files then well you probably want to get those. Same with any .dll (doubt they changed)
GMSClients (Mediafire folder) shamefully enough doesn't have v118.3, but I do!
Another question , does windows 8.1 work on v118.3 ?
v117.2 adds Windows 8 support as far as I know, so it should handle 8.1 just fine.
I know out of own experience, that v117.2 DOES work on w8, but DOES NOT work on windows 8.1. I assume this is the same for 118.any. If someone does get it to work, i'd love to know how.
I've played v117.1 and v117.2 on windows 8 and windows 8.1 both working fine.
What's your setting on your redirector when you play it on a windows 8.1 / which redirector were you using
-Fraysa , I've tried launching Edola's client ( with sunnyboy's v118.3 maplestory.exe in the folder ) & nothing happens. This similarly occurs when I try to launch a v117 in a 8.1
I keep getting a dll injection error with their client. Which kinda sucks because im updating a source to v118 and i need to test if the login works now :\.

Was a problem with the game files, runs like a charm after re-installing.

Hounoustly, I think the easiest option is to just run the game on a virtual machine with windows xp..
