v83 help.

I just opened a v83 to learn from since everyone's telling me start small. I have read up on quite a bit of java as some moderators here along with people have told me yet I still don't understand where everything is located in.. LOL

For example:
How would I change this? Like from the header [TiredStory]: to some thing like [Myservername]:

Also, I have been looking at quite a few npcs and I have yet to find out where some of the npcs are located within the source. Like some you can change the script and nothing will happen. IDK WHYY D:

Or how to fix skills... Im so confused.

OHH and how to add new items/hairs/chairs via wz edit without actually replacing old ID's. I have read on some post you would need to add something into the source via java. And to dump/replace your current server xmls.

You can search all of those terms in the source, just Ctrl+F the project an type "TiredStory", you can then replace it all. I believe that is dropMessage in MapleChar.

1) locating npcs > open your database and go to the table 'spawns' for npcs/mobs. for playernpcs, go to the table 'playernpcs'. if you want to remove original spawned npcs, edit the 'life' in the map's xml in your server's map.wz folder. there's a command to remove all npcs from a map somewhere here on rz.
2) set any npc scriptable
3) you would need to add the hair to the wz first o.o if you're just trying to learn java, might as well take the wz from other v83 servers.

Cnt+f as blubberish said, and just Search for tiredstory. But also, you can dump xml's from a higher version and save them as v83, I'm pretty sure that works for some cases, but I know not all of them. And make sure when you replace wz edits, you add them in every wz, not just the item youre adding, you'd have to add a string for it and everything.

And what Verizon said, just take some up to date wz edit, and add your own stuff to it. But make sure you look at the strings some people forget to look at them, and some of there items will say different servers names IE- MapleSwitch.
