Well everyone here basically asks for help about everything and I haven't been different

I have played servers for a long long time.. I don't know anything about the inner workings and wanna learn

I know where to learn NPC scripting and java and all that

But when it comes to quests I am clueless.. Like how do I make new quests and give them to NPCs, how can I find quest ID's already for an NPC.

Because the NPC usually doesn't have a script and no where can I find what quest goes with what NPC..

very confused so if anyone has a tutorial about quests, be very nice,, I searched for like 30min...

Ragezone comes with a really handy search bar in all seriousness. The best way to learn is just to follow guides and figure it out on your own.

Well, dumbass, before telling someone to figure shit out try to do so yourself..

I obviously said quests, not npc scripting. So A. learn to fucking read. and B. If you read again I already searched and browsed the tutorials.

One of the things I find most irritating is the lack of a consolidated reference or wiki for MapleStory info. I'm not talking in-game info, I mean info that's useful for developers. Especially WZ data, such as which WZ properties map to which data values.

If you're looking to do quests, be aware that there's a large amount of variance in the way they're handled and coded. Some quests are defined entirely in the WZ, dialogue and all, while others require a degree of NPC scripting in order to be fully functional. Many quests, job quests in particular, require entirely new events to be scripted; these are usually customized quests or long questlines such as the Explorer 4th Job advancement.

Therefore, if you're looking to learn quests, you're more likely to require WZ editing skills in addition to NPC scripting and event scripting skills. Since I can't find any reference on how Quest.wz is organized, you're going to have to pop it open yourself and take a look. I've only ever dabbled in the Quest.wz myself, but from what I remember it's about as organized as Skill.wz is: A bloody mess of hardcode and Nexon failure. Good luck.
