Stuck at authenticating

I am useing Ambers GUI and when i try to log on it just gets stuck at authenticating any ideas?

I had this problem and I dont know if it is the same cause as yours but what I did was a few things.

Clear your registry (I dont know why, but someone told me to do it)

Check your config files and double check EVERYTHING. ( I had accidentally deleted a portion of the database address)

if that doesnt work, check your firewall ports. Open the ones that your world, character, logon and SQL are using (I did both TCP and UDP)

If it works, awesome. If not.. I tried :D
