I see, but when I downloaded Yandex version, I can't not find aion_gm_Backup_Date.bak in the DATA files in the download. Is this Aion_gm. Is this file not required usually (I'm assuming all that info is contained in the supplied aion_log.bak file)

Hi there! Installed this server, but got some nasty error. When I tried buy (or sell) something from NPC as GM - nothing happens... Its occur only on GM characters so far, non-GM players are unaffected.
Ofcouse "gm_no_trade" command was used, its even registed by client with message "Deactivate BPT_TRADE_RESTRICT", but somehow has no effect. Log shows me "C_BUY_SELL: builder (1, Chartest) tries to buy/sell". Is anyone knows how to fix it?

All GM characters are heavily limited on buying/selling/trading actions by NCSoft itself code-wise. You should not use a GM characters for trading and selling but rather the GM Panel since it can be audited.

Hey, so, I resetup the server with TieLei's upload, using Server4.6, but when I try to add aiongm_ur to own the database, it throws these errors:



This is a fresh server, haven't set up anything yet.

The only mistake I made was making a aion_gm account, but I deleted that, and it shouldn't affect this error.

UPDATE: Also, my last server is now inaccessible, thanks to becoming raw data when accidentally making the drive it was on a microsoft boot tool drive. I still have to get into ubuntu and "Unraw" the files so they can be read by windows (I think copying and pasting would work, but not sure, I only know that certain programs that recover raw data can do this, and I was told that I can use linux os to read raw data)

TieLay, your server on Yandex has a problem, at least, on my pc. User Aiongm_ur, on this new pc, is already in the db of Aion_log, and attempting to add "AionGM_Ur" to the DB will result in an error every time. Do you have a DB of Aion_log without the aiongm_ur?

As far I understand, your Gm server cannot find tables in Aion_log DB. I noticed that one of the .bak files has schema aiongm_ur (actually same as dbo but named differently). So, the schema should be named dbo. I suggest you delete completely your Aion_log and try with the attached aion_log.bak (https://fex.net/ru/s/l9cmslx). Of course, remember to change your db connection settings in TBL_WORLD_SERVER_INFO tables.

Another question that I do not really understand, why are you adding new user for DB connection. sa login works perfectly.

Every other download I've found has only aion_log.bak. I found the TBL_WORLD_SERVER_INFO, no problem, changing the settings inside it was easy. The video also covered that part.

Where do I acquire these files, or are these not neccessary? Because my L2AuthD.exe doesn't open, it throws an error with weird letters/characters

Forget about this video that you're referring to. He is working with original Chinese packs. If you want to set up a server like he did, try to find original Chinese packs, even through it is completely unnecessary. The steps that you are trying to do are already done in aion_log.bak of this thread. Basically, everything you need to do is to carefully follow the instructions on the first page. I don't understand why it is so difficult just to restore db and edit your connection strings

and one more thing what i mention long time ."If you cant manage with simple setup server this files are not for you Couse there is many work with this files to make it perfect and i truly believe you will not fix by yourself . So if you only try to play with that server and test them its ok but not for live server specially without any knowledge .

I didn't realize that L2Conn was actually AionAccounts. Sorry. I am only using this as a test server, not a live server. I don't intend to make it live, I am only wanting to play it as a test. So, yeah, it's ok for me I guess? Or maybe not?

I think the L2AuthD I have is bugged, but it's the only one I know of that's around. It's from Yandex, and I don't see any alternatives, other than to get on my old drive somehow and get the usable one, which, is in RAW format, meaning, only recovering it with recovery software or booting Ubuntu/Linux software will fix it, the latter I don't have the CD or USB drive to do a live boot right now, and the former, I would have to pay for said recovery software, getting a usb drive would be cheaper and more convenient, as I don't own a credit card or debit card to purchase said recovery software...

Or perhaps, someone could upload a Working L2AuthD.exe file?

EDIT: Found a working L2AuthD.exe file in AionBrasil.

EDIT2: So, I got an error message that probably indicates that the Server table or DB connection string is wrong, but I may be wrong

Where'd you get that aionaccounts db he had? I don't see it on any page, I've must've looked three times by now.

There is no Data Sources anywhere in his Server Files. :(

EDIT: Found it on another thread

However, Even by using his supplied aionaccounts db, I still get the same error at times, and at other times, I get an error "Communication Link Failure". By reading online, this is an overload, maybe because I have 2 SQL Servers created. Also, I cannot get the L2AuthD and other programs to allow me to reinput the password and data to connect, maybe this is the actual problem... so... how do I get the program to allow me to reinput the passwords?

EDIT 2: I found out that the problem was that I didn't name AionAccounts.dsn correctly. Upon adding a new dsn connection, L2Conn, and connecting it to AionAccounts db, both L2AuthD and AuthGate worked! I'll post updates as I go along.
