and is it leeching? according what you said, rev 149 is the open source, what's wrong with sharing compiled files on public? He did mention they are from aion extreme and its rev number as well.
ofc if you were one of the developer it'd be a different story. ;] maybe you have another reason for saying this? (that i dont know)
ive no problem with people wanting or releasing work in progress files.
i object whe people say RELEASED BLAH BLAH BLAH 100% TESTED.
they were work in progress, 100 % bugged the list of probs is far to big to list.
people who have some programing or coding experiance can work on these file.
most of the people here dont have a clue as to how to set the files up and how to make edits to the configs to get it all working.
most do not know how to adapt a client to run with either 2.1.0.9 or 2.1.0.12 which these files actualy are, the changes and conversion to 2.5 has ended far short of a perfect working bugg free set of files.
most people here want to set the files up and go public and have people playing thier server.
80% of people cannot even read the instructions and get things working.
just read the many Aion threads on releases ALL of them were abandoned and people left in the lurch most of these releases could have continued, but as usual with any of the game servers ive worked on, people start complaining or start cussing at the Devs involved. so the prodject dies, or the devs move on to a more updated prodject which also gets abandoned.
here is the situaton with these set of files.
the revs are not aculmitive they dont stack, fixes were supposed to be incerted in certain revs they often got missed, some revs had fixes taken out several revs later, too many revs to quick, people working on 1 rev were superceded by other working on a higher revs, only for the higher rev to bugg out what was done previously. etc etc repeat this for 6 months and your still back at were you started.
imagine what ts like to work through a patch of 800,000 lines of code install it and find its ballsed up because some one else has inserted a bugged fix that sods it all up, every one then has to start work agan.
most people who dont have a clue about code i.e. html, php, java, c+,boolean sql etc dont stand a chance, those that do can work these files.
most people here want to set up a server with all the aion releases here they wont make it unless they can fix the files. most of the teams have stopped the prodjects, only 1 is continuing but its closed source and working to 2.6.
if people are going to release files yes by all means do so,
BUT STOP RELEASING FILES THAT ARE INCOMPLETE AND BUGGED AS 100% FIXED AND WORKING !!!.

ps yes it is leeching when you pull the files dont contribute and release them for browni points as 100% tested and working.
man what windows you use becouse i have the same error on gs and ls start in windows 7 64 bits .Do you use 32 or 64 bits? and if you use 32 i ask if wil work in 64 bits.
Maby you use win xp or server ....

Man why i have this error becouse i use Aion_2.5_Full_Installer_V5 client and in au_server_ls on gameservers i setup the server with 1 127.0.0.1 my pass whith i edit all passwords in gs and ls and 1 on status
Can you tel me what client version i ned to use and what setings i ned to do for connecting to the server?

Cyfren What have you done with the client to make it work, what files are replaced in the client initially and generally what version the client is working with the server
