i've set up whole server and it logins correctly, but i'm getting stuck at server selection window. could anyone help me?

i'm using server from this topic and client 2.1.0.7

You need to use the bin 32 for client version 2.1.0.3, otherwise you won't get anywhere past that window.

My server seems to work well on a LAN connection no problem... I've switched it now to WAN and so far it works except for some reason every now and then the loginserver disconnects from the gameserver... so friends can login but can't play... the only way they will reconnect to each other is if restart both servers or if someone in the game quits all the way out (logging out of both gameserver and loginserver) cause then at that point the gameserver realizes its not connected to the login and it reconnects... any idea how to fix this anyone? I didn't have this problem at all when playing on LAN...

EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out. I guess when configuring for WAN I only need to change the settings in the ipconfig file on the game server but leave everything else alone and people are still able to connect while the login and game servers won't disconnect from each other randomly...

I installed Aion Private Server R40 and everything was look good made a toon leveled it to 10 went to Sanctum Went to the Hall where you craft and that win I notes all the crafting tools war gone. but then I notes you can put your mouse curser over them and use them but their invisible also the elevator Pad to the top Floor is not in the game so there’s no way to the top floor in the Crafting hall in Sanctum.
Anyone have any Id?

Is anyone else having trouble getting the lv18-22 instance Haramel working? As far as I can tell it should we working, I've applied every fix I can find to get it up and running and messed around with the gameserver .xml files but when I go to the entrance portal I can't click it and there's just a sort of bluish purple portal graphic but no image of the instance inside it like there should be.

If someone could just quickly teleport over and check if their version has it working on either faction then at least then I can eliminate my game installation as being the problem without me having to mess around manually reinstalling the whole thing.

By the way, I'm the right level for the instance (18) and from everything I read theres nothing you need to do beforehand to get access to it.

Anyone who has a couple minutes free please check for me


EDIT: Never mind, figured it out myself. The freaking portal was in the middle of a completely different area...

where did you find the portal to haramel?

EDIT: I found an alternative... I looked through the portal_templates.xml and found the npc id of the haramel portal is 700852 but i also noticed both Elyos and Asmo portals are using that same NPC ID but the portal_templates file separates them and puts race restrictions on them... so i deleted the race="ELYOS" and race="ASMODIANS" part and saved, and then i also noticed when i tried to spawn the npc 700852 it wasn't working anyway when i try to use it, so i went to the npc_templates.xml, searched for 700852 and changed it from USE_ITEM to PORTAL... then when i start my server i just go to where the Haramel portal should be and spawn the portal there (of course i do //save_spawn first so that everytime my server starts it will spawn)... now i can access haramel from where its supposed to be in the elyos area... but in going in haramel the exit back out doesn't work... not sure if its supposed to or not but haven't found a fix for that yet...

I can't seem to find the tutorial that you posted in your thread (http://forum.ragezone.com/f587/aion-...server-646761/) i noticed that most of them found it.. but maybe i am stupid or blind or something lol, i just couldnt find it. I just saw 3 links which are bin, ae_gameserver and ae_login for download. Whereas in tutorial section it says that you will finish it at later date. So just to ensure that I haven't see wrongly i misunderstood anything, i decided to seek you to see if you have posted it.

My problem was on sql, i forget to set de id of the server in gameserv sql file, so i put id:1, ip:127.0.0.1,password abc, and set the same password to configuration files in gameserver config!




My question is: This server works with client 2.1.0.8?? i tried and diden`t work, maiby i did something wrong, someone can answer me plz?

my friends and I use 2.1.0.8 and it works no problem... all you need from that downloaded bin32 folder on the first page is the d3dx9_38.dll file.. put it into the bin32 folder of your 2.1.0.8 client and use the .bat file to have the client connect to your server and should work no problem.
