Yeah, disable to whole shebang.
Another thing to check is the windows event log for anything out of ordinary.

HI Danny. I'm sorry for being annoy and noob >.< but i don't know wat should i do with the thing u wrote here like " Changlogs" stuff. Do u mind to explain to me pls![]()
Meokon,
This rev355 of the server is really not ment for public use, it's quite buggy and doesn't act correctly. However to answer the question.
In your ipconfig.xml under gameserver/config/network.
Change the IP to your public IP. You'll have to foward the required ports for it as well (2106, 7777) [This step if you have a router.]
You will not beable to connect to your server localally unless yuou add back in the IANA range with the settings for your network.
Again, i still suggest you run a older more stable, more complete revision of the server if you plan on going public with it.
Hmm... TheRing? Danny? You guys have any other suggestions? I'm baffled to the problem as well.
Dogstarrb: Do you know unix? Maybe try making it in a VM?

That's about the best I can do for you on how to make it public, you'll have to search the internet for a 2.1 client based server until the 2.5client based server is not as buggy.
[/COLOR]Hi guys back on well I loaded the new server and got the login server running but ran into a problem with the game server it fails to initialize the VM. could not reserve enough space for object heap
could not create the Java Virtual Machine. any one have a recommended size for the VM
java -Xms512m -Xmx1536m -ea -Xbootclasspath/p:./libs/jsr166.jar -cp ./libs/*;ax-game-1.0.1.jar gameserver.GameServer

Hi guys.. Thanks for help me along. My server is ok now but the only thing left is i'm trying to public the server. anyway if someone have the Pri-ser 2.4 pls send me..Thanks :D
Don't take my word for it, but what I got from reading through the first few pages of this thread it seems to basically come down to setting your ipconfig::default-tag in "gameserver\config\ipconfig.xml" to your IP adress (instead of the default localhost (127.0.0.1)). Setting this to my lan adress at least made it work over my local network, so it would seem the same could work for wan as well. Also, don't forget to forward the needed ports if you're behind a router (mainly ports 2106 and 7777, although forwarding 9014 and 3306 as well (the latter being used by the database by default) might also be needed).
As for me I've managed to get everything up and running, so thanks for the nice work and instructions.
However, there is a small issue in that skills and gathering does not work properly for me; in fact, it seems like the problems are tied to anything that has a "cast time". Instant skills work as well. What happens is the time bar fills up, whatever animations are due are played but then it stucks when fully charged and I get the "<action> cancelled" message when finally moving.
Also, something seems to be off with the aggro part of the enemy ai; most of the time (although weirdly enough, there are exceptions) mobs will not attack back (or run away for that matter) when hit. "Angry" mobs will be indicated as aggroing when getting close to them, although they do not follow me or anything so that's probably just client sided.
I'm posting here to see if anyone else have experienced these issues and/or if it has been sorted out. I've read the first dozen of pages and will continue further, but what's the harm in asking if someone's got it fresh in memory perhaps? :)
Cheers,
Styrbjörn
