Installation:
I'm using Windows XP, and assuming you already have your Aion Server Installed including the databases with the
default names (au_server_gs and au_server_ls)
You need to install this software first in order to use this Editor: (
All mandatory) (Skip this if you
already have them)
- Microsoft Access (The version I'm using to work on this is
Access 2003, I haven't tested the functionality
with other versions, but it should work with Access 2000, 2003 or 2007) Test it.
- MySQL Connector (ODBC Driver for MySQL):
http://www.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/
- Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
After you install all this, you need to create 2 System DSN entries to link MS Access with the Aion Databases
(au_server_gs and au_server_ls)
You have to create them with this names.
AionGS
AionLS
Go to you windows Control Panel -->> Administrative Tools -->> Data Sources (ODBC)
Follow the images for a HOW TO:
Once you got all the software installed and created the system DSN, you can proceed to Install
Aion DB
Manager. Use the installer provided (test it!) Report any issues please!
In the installation process it will ask you to install DBpix (Install it with the default values) and will ask you
to import a value into the registry for DBpix (Import it). Finish the installation.
DBpix is an utility for MS Access to interact with the images in the database. (To add images into the items
database)
That's it
Open the Aion Database Manager, and test it!
