[Help Request]Cannot Connect to Server after selecting server

Ok i have been searching all of the Aion Section for a clear answer to the error people are getting at the server selection screen after selecting the server.

Error is = Cannot Connect to Server and game closes after clicking OK

now i have set up my server using the most recent update posted by dannybest which is really good work btw.

now my server is directly connected to the internet (no router) and my ip never changes (been the same for 5 years)

i have the configs all set to the ip listed on my network card.
the login server and gameserver start up fine.

i have installed the d3d8thk.dll into my bin32 folder and have created the start.bat file to start the game with my network ip.

i can get the login server fine and the account creates but when i get to the server select screen no matter what i do as soon as i select the server i get the Cannot Connect to Server error.

this problem has been an issue for a ton of people in the forums and i think it would be great if we actually posted a fix or an answer as to why this is happening.

i am running server and client on same machine running the 2.7 server in link above with the 2.7 client and the no ip d3d8thk.dll.

i have had no problem doing this befor with the same setup but that was a year or so ago back when Aion emu's first came out.

it would be great if someone has figured out this problem and has a fix to please post an explination of how to fix this problem i think you would get alot of thanks i myself would be sure to give thanks.

Got the same problem over LAN, i can connect from my pc via localhost, but the people connected to my lan network get as far as the server select screen. their account gets created and the server is shown, but when they click on it client freezes for a few seconds and the "Cannot connect to the server" message apears. Please help

Ok i was able to fix the problem.
go into your Gameserver/Config folder and edit the ipconfig.xml file.
my file had countless lines of useless crap i just replaced the entire content of the file with this:

I have a PPPoE connection, no1 else can connect to my server but me, they have "can't connect to auth server" problem ...

EDIT: fixed! after edit ipconfig.xml file, i changed the launcher ip too.
