Building Models for fiesta game engine

nvm, no one is interested in such things here. been fun but i think i'm done posting stuff.

You can build Objects for the game pretty simple. Some people have built models and would like to put them in game but when they do you ether fall threw it or crash clients.
Here some basic tip to help.

Keep the faces to a min, if you build a statue and it has 1200 fa it is to many. You should be in a range closer to 200-400 max.

Use 2 sided textures only when needed, if it has 2 sides it will render even the ones you don't see.

A planke of wood like the one in the pic should only have 6 faces. Same for the posts but since the one end will be in the ground the bottom one is not needed. 5 will do for it.

It may look like a rope but it is 2 planes in a + shape with a texture on them. No need to build a rope you can't tell the differance. You can also just use 1 plane to reduce the faces.

If anyone has more tip or tricks please post them. Thank you

You need a Game Engine called Gamebyro, and there is almost no dl link for this engine, cuz its a pretty expensive engine

You don't need gamebryo. I wanted to get people together to start learning the way to build assets for your own stuff but there is no one here that wants to build stuff like this. I'm building houses, trees, bridges and much more. As far as i see no one in the fiesta community want to build stuff to make there pserver differant or just enjoy some model building. I have a house with 129 fa and it looks pretty good consitering what limitations i have. If i could use a normal map it would be great but fiesta don't support them. I have tryed over and ove rto get interest but i thin i have to do to other communitys in the graphics industry to really find people who enjoy the same things. If you want tip i will be glad to share what i know in a pm.

When you have a high number of faces, vertices use decimate mod.
Drawback:It creates triangle faces. If you want to continue modeling it will be problematic so use the knife cut.

Love the determination, but sadly, a limit is a limit, there's workarounds for most things, but there are some that just aren't possible.

This isn't a physical battle or mental battle, its a battle with the code which has already been compiled, so no matter the determination, some things just can't be changed without the source. You get that, then you can do anything you want.

You could always learn a coding language and code your own emulator, similar to Zepheus or whatever it was called, then you can raise the bar even higher, but you'd need a good solid team committed to a long process.

    Oh, and you necro'd a post. >:

Not interested in doing fiesta stuff anymore, i moved on to making a full game for playstation, and pc. The fiesta community is dead in regards to updating it and sharing. At least in real game making alll the info is out there to be used, no hidde stuff and calling people stupid for not knowing. They guide u in the direction to find the code and samples of code that so something simular. I said a long time ago i was doing fiesta for education and since there is nothing else to learn from i'm done. As for the newer servers out their, thats not game making/creation and not anything special cause you didn't do anything but have the files to setup the server. If the rest of the comunity had them, they could have it too. The reason behind Psevers was lost in the greed of making money, I just wanted to learn how it works (Education) and have fun.

I was once, intrested in creating 2D or 3D games but had no team to work with,if you would like a team mate, the post with my skype is still there.
I do disagree the funky punky kiddie's that "mod" fiesta and consider that they done something incredible and "COOL".
They have a big "Fuck Off" from me.

Id assume most here are around here for the same reason, I personally am anyway.

Ive been fucking around with Fiesta since 2009 for the sake of it to learn something whilst studying, met some good blokes along the way and let things flow from there, ended up lucky at times and not-so lucky at others.

Id happily make a thread aimed to showcase/work-in-progress for any/all creations/adjustments done within Victus, to allow the community to see things behind the scenes (in a sense), that way the community can learn as we learn (tons of new things etc).

Ideology like this killed the section, you don't need the latest exe's to develop, although they make the job easier, there's other paths to take with development, or just move on to another game/section.

This section was mostly filled with leeches anyway, people who take other servers content, then label it as their own or make adjustments in some minute way.

I agree a little with the contention that greed has "changed" the section, but it never killed it, it was just one of the many factors that lead to the demise of the community which changed the section forever, if this place was even considered a section after all.

Time change, and so do people.
