Well my next question is how do I send updates to the launcher from the launcher..? in the form of a patch? Gives me a error ? Do explain this please?

How would I go about patching a new version?

Well depending on which version of the client launcher you have (Right click -> Properties -> Details -> File Version), you add that line to your PatchDB.txt.

So lets say you have Version 2, and you want to update to version 3. You add that "#Launcher 3 http://<like_to_new.exe>".

You have to make sure that the new .exe is indeed version 3+, otherwise it will just be an infinite loop.

I'm talking about updating the launcher itself, Like adding a updated Config.esl to a patch. Yet it won't work..because the file is already being used to download the patch itself so it won't extract...Get what I mean?

If you have the latest client.exe, Config.esl is not locked after-load. You can overwrite it in any patch.

It was working fine on both my laptop and desktop the other day. But now this weird error comes up. When I just ignore it and continue I can't do anything at all. :/

Yea I have no idea what that error is. Obviously a .NET error, maybe there was a .NET updated that broke it? Idk, this project kinda died when Odin started.

you have to have install framework 4.0
i got that error before. and installing 4.0 fixed it.


i have the 3.0 launcher, but when i include the Launcher folder in a patch, it wont install it.
