[CN - 2012] Client Manipulation Error

I got the error mentioned in the topic when I set up my HK server for the first time and I made 100% sure that all shn's matched, what what might cause this? Do I need a rest server?

Those files don't use a rest server, so you won't need one. If you get the client manipulation error one of the shn files on the client is not matching the one on the server.

I replaced every single shn in the client, that existed on the server, from my server folder and still get the error, after double checking dates modified and sizes, nothings different from the server.

I should mention I'm using a Victus client of unknown origin, but all shns off the server I could copy over to the client were copied over. I know what client illegally manipulated error is but it didn't say that, but I'm new to HK files.

Also I did replace the client ressystem with the hk release client ressystem before copying over all of the server files too.

I am new to HK files but not Odin/2008 files, but my client did not specifically say Client Manipulated, maybe the error I'm talking about is the client manipulated error, but it instead says Client files do not match the Server Files, please run your patcher and try again (maybe not word for word but along those lines.) Could this error be related to BlockInfo? Like shbd's etc. As SHN files are 100% the same, client to server, at this point in time, with no doubt.

Or maybe its just this client, as it is of unknown origin its contents could be anything I suppose, is there a better HK client release I should be using? I was only able to find this Victus client when searching.

(Also, unrelated, but when signing up I mistakenly misspelled my own username, LambertLight should be LambentLight, is there anything I can do about that since profile settings state that I do not have permission to do so?)

Not sure what the issue could be then if you say that the SHN files are 100% matching. I would say restore it and don't just copy it all over from the server to the client file, only copy over what you need and then double check it and try again.

As for your username, you can't change it unfortunately unless you have a subscription.

Well maybe I should explain my process from the start... First I tried it with just the released hk files, the server has always been the default released files, I then downloaded a victus client from... Focusgameonline.com/client.rar and extracted the files, I then moved the files from the HK release resystem in to my client, made an exe shortcut to the game.exe and gave the target -i xxx.xx.xxx.xx to the server ip. I go to log in and get the client does not match server error. Is there maybe a better client I could download to try on? I'm not even 100% sure what my client is.

And when I copied over server to client I only took the client relevant files, no server specific files were ever added to my client.

There are a few other files that can cause this error apart from the SHNs. There are some nifs for some of the character animations that CANT be changed. Some nifs for the interface, some action files, and even some dds files. Always make a backup of what you are changing or have a backup client before you do any major changes. Telling you from experience you do not want to have to rebuild a whole client just because of 1 file you cant find.
