[CN - 2012] Issues with Weapon Skins
When I open the skin store the icons are loaded and everythings working so far but when I move my mouse closer to the icons with the intention of checking the description and buying the skin the client closes. I checked ItemViewInfo.shn modified the name and description and that didn't seem to fix it.
I don't know what else to do and would like to ask for some help.
Client used: Evasive + Client.exe and ressystem folder provided with the files.
Edit: Did you guys have any problems with wskins using the HK files? I checked other clients ItemViewInfo and just can't figure out where the problem is.

A way to by pass it, is by putting the item in vaults. It's a simple "hot fix" I've used on Odin, and most likely will on other files, seeing as I don't always know the cause of the problem. It's probably the client itself though. Odin does that when someone would change the Icon for the .exe (I think that was one of the causes), maybe it's the same in this case?

Thanks DentalFloss now I managed to get a skin but there is another problem which prevents me from using it.
The bought skin has 0 / 3997765 durability (changes with every purchase) and I can't fix it using the Weapon Repair Kit because it says that it's not a valid skin.
I have no idea how to fix it or even look for the problem.

ive also run into this problem of 0/(arbitrary number), the only thing ive come up with is to not use degrading weapon skins. changing them all to Permanent of sorts.

make a store and put your free items in it so you don't have to make a bunch of npc's. the item gets set/activated when bought.

This issue existed with the NA 2011 files as well. The fix was to modify the client bin and prevent it from crashing, I assume you could do the same here if you had the knowledge.

Found this EXE which is supposedly meant to have fixed this issue. Test it out and let me know if it works. Download and use at your own caution, I won't be held responsible if anything happens.

Since no one else has said, I guess I will. I only tested on 1 skin, as I don't feel the need to put many in, but this client has the fixed skin issue. Though since it's a Victus .exe, and not the CN .exe client commands don't work in it. Thanks for sharing it.

Fixed that skin crash for you. ;)

Download fixed Fiesta.bin
Virus Total check
If you want to change the icon of that .bin, take care that its the right format,
otherwise you will destroy the fix.
Its the .bin from the retail release.
The other problem should be a missing or incorrect entry for that skin in ChargedEffect.shn.
