    collision issues, only affects camera

i am trying to add custom items to a map and i can get the item in the map but when it comes to collision it blows past me....ive messed with looking at other collisions in the map and i seem to have gotten ....part of it.....it collides only with the camera....when the player/I walk into the object collision zone the camera zooms in and the player jumbles a bit back and forth like the camera is moving fast then walks right threw the object.

do i have to mess with other things other then the nif of a map to get collision?

sorry for what seems like a nub question but this is blowing right past me :/

-thanks for all help that you can give-

*edit* -ive looked around the forums and cant find nothing that fits my needs as in help and most are for other games e.x. WarZ and FLYFF

a bit more info i can give is im editting OX-Field and the item i am adding is just a simple size and looking to add a box collision.....altho i will probably need other types if im wanting to make a custom map

Nif has nothing to do with collisions; it's all controlled within the BlockInfo, you'll need the .shbd or whatever extension it is converter to convert the file to a .png to alter collisions.

Each map uses one; they're both on the server-side and client-side (within the maps folder).

hmmm that sucks(not ready to modify the shbd being that it might not be in a perm position)....so the nif just messes with the camera tho? that sucks if so.....but thanks for the info

The nif only holds the "not fall into abyss" collision.

Yep, nifs only have ground collision. I give you a tip to make a shbd map easy:

    - Enable zoom hack and zoom out until you see the entire map. If the map disapears in fog, use fog distance hack

    - angle the view correctly to match the angle in the shbd file and take a photo.

    - Export shbd file to png

    - Open with gimp or other. Put the image you take on a new layer with transparency.

    - Draw the collisions with the pen or other thing. Remember to get the exact color with the colordropper.

    - Remove the image layer and save. Then convert to shbd.

    - You will get a 100% exactly collision placement

PD: Some shbds have also yellow areas. dunno what are.

You need cheat engine. Zoom out, then make a unknown search, then zoom in a bit, search for decreased values, zoom in again and search for decreased and repeat this process until you find the value that handles the zoom. Then, zoom out at maxium, copy the value and search this value. You will find the value that handles the maxium zoom. Then increase it to zoom out more.
I think the value differ from clients, this is the zoom value for old clients: 1136852992

For the fog hack, is the same but with background distance. This time you cant increase maxium value because its an option, but you can increase the value manually to see furthest.

you can add collision to any object by adding a collision mesh same as a #m wall in the maps. was just reading what's been going on and seen this, thought I would answer. don't ask me and questions though cause I won't answer for a long time as I do not dev anymore and only stop in here once in a while.
that will keep the camera proper and the floor done as mentioned before
