Custum icons (.DDS Files)

Hi, RageZoners

I was leaning how to add and item in-game.

at fist sight the icon was missing .. I found out what was wrong my DDS files wasn't uptodate.


this tiny(little) Problem made me wondering about an existing problems in current fiesta Online 's P-server.
I mean: plenty items use the same icon, that's pretty annoying. ( i'm taling about my feeling , I don't know about others person)

so 2 Question resulted from this story: (sorry if it seems to you that i'm narrating my nubs life)
2Question

1st Question:

How to create my own .DDS files containing icons for fiesta Online?

2nd Question:

How could I Change the icon's size of a dropped item?

PS: fail English. Tell me if you don't understand, ill change my sentences to make more senses.
Please, mention in your post if and where I used Unconventional words (impolite or too familiar)

Ps(2): how can i change colors on this Forum (for my posts)?

PS(3): I don't need Dumb-ass' comment ( haters' comments)

Get paint.net make

background transparent

color it in

save as .DDS ( Texture Files )

Done.

It's quite easy.. here is an example how it looks like using NifSkope and GIMP to create one.





Just create an screenshot,
select area in gimp,
make background transparent,
save it to something like "t1.png",
open an existing iconfile,
open t1.png,
resize it to 32x32 px,
move over existing icon,
remove old one,
select alpha channel of t1.png,
use border function (2px) and paint the outlines.
result you can see above.

Pretty sure thats in ItemViewInfo.shn client sided.
