hi frends, LF cheap dedi.
- Intel or AMD ? Someone told me AMD isnt good for pservers apparently. but amd iz cheap.
I just want a dedi for me and my friends to fuck on.

Any suggestions guys ? Preferable under 60$/month.

Use Intel,amd sucks for fiesta servers. Use soyoustart.com,they offer cheap dedis with ddos protection.

My answer to a dedicated Server and one that i tend to use is: Kimsufi : le serveur dédié pas cher ! ~ Kimsufi! as a dedicated is >$60


Please note you have to sort out your own operating system unless you pm me which case its Free >.< but you need to have Kimsufi server first!

Server4you seem to have nice deals, only 48€ p/m no contract or setup fee. Anyone have experiences with that company ?

There seems to be a lack of operating system options on that company like i have said Kimsufi seems to be okay i use Kimsufi and haven't had any issues so far.

If it's just a server for your friends, then go for Server4you, but I suggest not going public with it, since it doesn't have built in ddos protection, and a whole lot of random down time and lack of support, in my experience.

They used to offer a first free month for every new member that you could just re-use whenever you needed one but I don't think they have it anymore, but that was sweet

Yeah il def take a look at kimsufi next thursday when my money comes in.

Also guys whats the best CPU to use, wondering if i should stick to the i-series or xeon..

well Xeon is Server types so Xeon is a Server based Intel processor its more for number crunching and basically better and more reliable over time. While the I-Series provides decent processing power its not designed to be used on a server. I would recommend Xeon over I-Series any day of the week. Most people will say I-Series. But thats your choice.
