    Getting Started

So I'm looking to get started in learning all about servers.
I'm not saying I want to make a server, but yet get experience with the files, learn things, fix things and explore. So, if I wanted to get started with learning and so on, what should I do?
Should I get a dedi and set up a small personal server where I customize it and learn how to do basic things, while attempting to solve/fix bugs?
Or are there other things I can do?

First you should to do: read the server tutorials and watch YouTube videos about server things (change client stuff something like this) and setup you services on your local machine if your machine not able to run a server buy a dedicated machine for starting 4 core and 8 gig ram online machine 6 core and 32 gig is the best

I've been through lots of tuts.
I just want to try them myself instead of reading.

So you think I should invest in a dedi?
If so, what is the best place to get one?

    Emm.
    Grayed out means ignore.
If you have powerful PC then use it.

The decision is yours to make.
If you have money to spare then you can always buy dedi if you think its better that way.
But its advised to set up it in PC first and understand how things work.

Having a powerful PC doesn't matter, as long as you can run at least one zone, you're fine. It requires more patience yes, but it's worth it in the end. Don't buy a dedicated server just to learn, unless you're loaded, then by all means, go ahead.

I don't like bragging or anything. But money isn't really a problem. I was just wondering if you guys new a good place for a dedi.
I don';t need protection or anything only one that can run all zones lag free and maybe hold up to 5 people.
