Like Alsm said it's probably the resolution. Delete the client configuration file in ressytem and it should reset it
Next time you load he client.

Your problem might be the missing installation of any graphic card driver.
Figure out what type of graphic card is installed on your system, download the correct driver and install it.
Without this, Direct3D is not supported and therefore the game wont launch.

Had this problem too. Fixed it when deleted graphics settings file from ressystem. Also, you might download resolution changer and change the resolution of the game to the default one.
