    how do costumes work?

    ive read this post :http://forum.ragezone.com/f594/costu...urgent-937953/
and understand better that you need to edit previous files.....

    but what im curious is....

is there a way to make one from near scratch?
where you align the nifs correctly and all that.

so lets say i have a full body suit.....
with parts attatched to the legs, arms, belt, shin guards, and things like that.....
the main issue IMO about this is getting the nifs to align right or at all? where
things like the shin guards would bend with the leg.

is this possible? or am i stuck with something like the Blue Dragon costume and just edit the 7 nifs that come with it?

p.s. am i correct that the nifs move the body parts via a shn?(it says what to follow)

sorry if this sounds confusing but idk much of a better way to say this.

Check another suit and go from there.

    Re: how do costumes work?

thanks for the relatively quick reply.....

i believe i posted about the only solution i see is editing the Blue Dragon nifs......but i still dont see how they align them because i can remove almost every block from the nif and it still align properly....
so im guessing its NOT the nifs that control alignment.

p.s. i guess i could of said this also....there are some suits that have capes on them but for all i see there is only DDS files and no nifs for them.....so is there another way to make a cape without nifs?

I'm not very good with nifs and I haven't tried anything myself, but I suggest you make something simple and test it. Someone like RageZooner would know though.
