    I have the same problem.
    The problem is from PHP is not supporting mssql functionn. If you removed this from Index.php
    Code:
    <?php
    $mssql_link = @mssql_connect( $servername . "\\" . $dbname , $dbuser, $dbpass );
    if(!$mssql_link)showMessage('info', 'Registration is temporarly offline');
    ?>
    Your content will appear but the website will not connect to Microsoft Sql Server.
    As I said, i have the same problem and still looking for a solution.

    there are lots of way to connecto to the db ._. just find the dll you are going to use, you can connect with odbc , sqlsrv, mssql ... remember to add it to php.ini and restart web server.
    Also i think the MSSQL extension isnt supported by php 5.3 so check that too, you are going to need to recode it or change the php version.

    I had hell with this look up the files
    php_sqlsrv_53_ts_vc9.dll
    php_pdo_sqlsrv_53_ts_vc9.dll

    this is for thread safe version of php
    add them to your php.ini will fix the problem
