    [Odin Files] Authentication Failed - Requesting Assistance

    Ik, copied my post from the Odin Install Guide thread. Figured this would be a more appropriate place to post, pls dun't yell.

    Ok, so, srs bizness. I'm getting the 'Authentication Failed' error when I load up my client. The only issue that it has is the following (showing up in my database.txt in the REST folder)

    [19] [15/08/2013 2:57:50 PM] :: ******DatabaseManager::getInfo('TestingToken12345678') FAILED******
    [19] [15/08/2013 2:57:50 PM] :: The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'tTokens', database 'OdinAccounts', schema 'dbo'.

    A couple other notes about the .txt's in my REST folder: Socketing, Requests and Main seem to be working okay (see first spoiler for what I get everytime I try to run the client)

    Spoiler:

    Socketing
    [1] [15/08/2013 2:55:50 PM] :: Starting Add Listen 127.0.0.1:80

    Requests
    [30] [15/08/2013 4:47:12 PM] :: GET /user/v1/getInfo?realm=fiesta&token=TestingToken12345678&sig=f2c6159e37ef47897361bae13395db56ab1d30e0b4e7d688e1a783559c25c3dd HTTP/1.1

    Main
    [1] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: Service Starting
    [2] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: DatabaseManager.DataSource.Server=>NEIL-PC\SQLEXPRESS
    [3] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: DatabaseManager.DataSource.Database=>OdinAccounts
    [4] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: DatabaseManager.DataSource.AccountTable=>tAccounts
    [5] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: DatabaseManager.DataSource.AuthTable=>tAuth
    [6] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: DatabaseManager.DataSource.TokenTable=>tTokens
    [7] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: OdinServer.Socket.IP=>127.0.0.1
    [8] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: OdinServer.Socket.Port=>80
    [9] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: OdinServer.Debug=>1
    [10] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: DatabaseManager.DataSource.PurchaseTable=>tPurchases
    [11] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: DatabaseManager.DataSource.ItemUsesTable=>tItemUses
    [12] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: OdinServer.TokenManager.EnforceExpireDate=>False
    [13] [15/08/2013 2:55:49 PM] :: OdinServer.TokenManager.DeleteUsedTokens=>False

    However, I am getting absolutely NO info other than a timestamp in Returns; is this normal?
    Spoiler:

    Returns
    [17] [15/08/2013 2:57:25 PM] ::

    Anyways, yeah. I've been trying to figure out how to fix this, to no avail. I feel like it's something to do with my SQL account itself, it's permissions and such, but I can't figure it out. Everything is accessible by the account, it's set to administrator-level.

    I've gone into my tTokens and messed with a bunch of things, hoping that doing something would magically make it work (I've changed token names multiple times, tried the 20+ character recommendation that was suggested by Wolfy, etc.) Well, this method is obviously not working, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it work.

    Help would be very much appreciated, RZ'ers. If you require any additional information that would make helping me easier, please request. :>

    This is normal because of the exception the return value is empty.

    I think you have forgotten to do the part of the Guide where is applies new permissions for the tToken table.

    Seems you didn't forget that part.

    Then its probably the typical Vista/Win7 problem:
    For things to runs smoothly you must use "Run As Administrator" option or something.

    Re: [Odin Files] Authentication Failed - Requesting Assistance

    Hm, I found something that's odd (henceforth means it is probably causing the issue).
    I restarted all my services and went into my NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM again, and the default schema is set to 'dbo'. I can attempt to remove it all I want, but it won't stay that way. I remove it, re-open the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Properties again, and those three stupid letters are back.

    Are you aware of any way that I could permanently disable this?
    (I'm only asking if there's any way to disable the default schema because in the guide, the default schema is blank.)

    The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'tTokens', database 'OdinAccounts', schema 'dbo'.

    tTokens Permission = owner ;)

    How do I go about changing the Permissions? I'm attempting to, but I'm unable to change them in both the Table Properties of tTokens, and the OdinAccounts database itself.

    Also, isn't 'dbo' the owner? (I'm new to SQL, my apologies if it's a dumb question. But... database owner?)

    Re: [Odin Files] Authentication Failed - Requesting Assistance

    Got mine to look exactly like yours. Still no success.
    Should I maybe just attempt from square one? Remove EVERYTHING and re-start the whole process?

    EDIT: Forgot to include that I'm still receiving the same error as before.

    Did you edit your hosts file?

    Re: [Odin Files] Authentication Failed - Requesting Assistance

    Indeed I have!
    Also, confirmed it has not been saved as a .txt file.

    EDIT: While waiting for another post, I decided to remove all the files from my computer and try again. Re-downloaded everything, followed the guide again (read every step three times to make sure I was doing it right) and I still get Authentication Failed, with the same error. Would I possibly be able to get someone's Skype username so I could contact them and set up a TeamViewer session? I've been trying to get around this error all day, and nothing seems to be availing.

    I got the '08 files to work just two days ago.
    Unless there's something in the Odin files that make them not work in Canada?
