    No matter what i do i still get this error
    [2] [2/28/2014 1:07:19 PM] :: ******ADD LISTEN FAIL******
    [2] [2/28/2014 1:07:19 PM] :: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions

    No im not using skype and i checked all the active ports in the firewall and not a single one is using port 80. Idk what could be causing the issue. It was workin last night and now it randomaly decides not to work...

    Open Command Prompt as Admin to avoid problems.
    Run this
    Code:
    netstat -ano
    And check for any IP:80 in column "Local Address", if you find, then get its PID and look which process it is from Task Manager.
    If PID isn't visible then add it.

    After that report back, what program it was.
    Mostly it is WebServer (IIS, Apache) or Skype.

    Re: Odin rest wont start

    Well skype is not installed into my dedi server at all. IIS i just uninstalled. Apache is also uninstalled. And i am using windows 2008 R2 to host on...I am going to need some deep help for this one maybe. I am thinking about restoring server to factory default and just start completly over again...

    Did you do the first part of my post?
    Yes -> Why didn't you report the result?
    No -> Do it.

    Re: Odin rest wont start

    I put in the command and it showed 2 in the list but did not specify an exact name. It shows like this

    TCP 0.0.0.0:80 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 4
    TCP [::]:80 [::]:0 LISTENING 4
    I don't get it....And i tried looking for the PID in task manager and not a single digit or even 2 digit is in the list. And this is after I factory defaulted the whole dedi.

    Figured it out but i guess it was my SQL Server DB cause i stopped it and started again and tried to start the odinrest and it worked first try.

    It's good that you got that fixed, but I also mentioned that you have to enable the PID rows in Task Manager.
    Though 2 values are always same:
    0 - System Idle Process
    4 - System

    For you system was using it. Restart may have helped.

    Go to Start button-- RUN .. and put SQLServerManager10.msc

    Spoiler:

    in the left , choose. SQL Server Services...
    Now in right side you can see all services running from SQL.
    STOP and change to MANUAL "SQL Server Reporting Services". (normally use port 80 in sql server 2008 R2 ).

    Now turn on OdinRestSever.

    .---------
    If you use Microsoft windows webserver 2008 then the problem located with service named "Web Publishing Service 2.0".
