People give exp for votes
People give free coins for mall or $$ ig for votes
People give nudes for votes
People spam advertisements for vote in game and forums.
People shut down their server to get votes
People patch only when they reach certain votes.
These are all options I have seen on few servers I have played. Vote to play is really nothing.
In my opinion every server can do whatever they want to get votes, since member base is mostly dependent on votes and development. Whenever I am looking for new server or better I always look for TOP. I have seen few desperate servers closing their server just to get votes and saying " we will reopen when we have 5 k votes or w.e." I recently joined Selesnia, and it's kind of great to see another server with so many members beside Terra. But they are still free in many ways. In Terra, Dusk, FinalHell, Pintos and so many others you need real money for certain essential, consumables and enhancing stone. Selesnia you can still play and do all without having to spend a rupee in game. All essential, enhancing stoned, charms all I have seen in game. I am kind of amazed to see how they are still running it without focusing in Mall and $$ so much like other servers. Selesnia added Vote to play recently, it was kind of annoying when there was few bugs. But now it only takes me 5 sec to log in now through voting. Nothing big really!! i mean that server is still the only server i know which is free for all. I don't even mind if they made a pop up in game that would make people stop grinding to Vote lolz.
But they should implant vote for some other stuff as well. If people have issues with vote pop to play and think its unfair they can leave, since they aren't forcing anyone to stay or play.
