I said 'Ohai.' And he said 'hi' back. Wasn't a full-on convo or 'chit chat' as you say. Was kind of my step into this thread, and I guess even this forum, since I had never posted here.

But yes, my opinion. My opinion is that people in this thread are caring way too much about what other servers do, that it literally makes me lol. People are getting so ass hurt about what other servers are doing, it really comes into question about peoples' priorities in life. Not pointing out people or trying to insult them, just more along the lines of suggesting that they need to just calm down. Quoting from an old friend:

"Relax, sit down, drink a glass of water."

Just calm down, do your own thing, and eff everybody else because you really shouldn't be caring what they're doing.

And well, people that are still so butt hurt about what others are doing that doesn't impact you, I'll leave you with a quote from Robin Williams in his movie 'Good Morning, Vietnam':

"You are in more dire need of a blowjob than any white man in history"

These forums are made for people to get together and help develope the Fiesta dev scene, but also voice their concerns and elaborate on current issues that have something to do with Fiesta. Which means, anything and everything related to Fiesta is kind of this community's concern. I guess this whole community is a bunch of butthurted people. Everyone's allowed to voice their opinion, freedom of speech all the way, who cares about defamation.

Have to admit I was quite negative to the voting feature you guys had for your server, and the server in general(I'm asuming you're working for Selesnia).However after meeting you and Ifm, I think my view on you guys changed. You're so awesome and cool, while I have nothing better to do all day than to surf on Ragezone. Thanks for enlightening me. We should get kawaii together :3.

Hi, thanks for the welcome, if it was directed toward me, considering the spelling of my name you posted is way off, but assuming as much, I shall continue.

As you may have noticed or not, I am well aware what this community is for. I signed up here over 2 years ago, and while I am not an active member of posting, it doesn't really seem like it takes long to get a grasp of what this forum is made for. While I did not state that everyone is butthurt in this community, if that what you feel, than that's what you feel. Though, if that's all you took away from what I said, then I suppose that's all you took away. Freedom of speech is a great thing, isn't it? It allows people to whine and complain....sorry....'voice their concerns' about what other people are doing that doesn't affect them. Now grant it, not everyone has whined and complained about it. People have stated in a cool and calm fashion what their opinion is on the topic, be it negative or positive, but then there are plenty who take a step beyond it to, yes, get pretty butt hurt about it because, obviously, the situation struck a nerve with them, then proceeded to get into plenty of flaming and "trolling." These are the people I address in saying don't let what other people are doing bother you. Relax, calm down, drink a glass of water because, at the end of the day, if you're letting what people are doing on their private server bother you, then something in life must be up at the moment for you.

Yes, I do work for Selesnia. But even then, I have never gave a damn about what others do on other servers. They could be giving out free blow jobs for votes, and all I can say is hey, if it works, than good on you. Because, honestly, I could give a damn what others are doing if it doesn't affect my personal life. I respect everyone who has their own server and their staff and respect their right to do what they want to do to help their community grow. More power to everyone for that. And thank you, I thought the quote fit pretty decently. Robin Williams is a funny man, but indeed, he is a man of wisdom sometimes. Like in that quote. And thank you, I'm glad to see my little post made a difference in someone's views. These are the kind of things that make me proud and help me sleep at night.

Sorry SoapSuds, I thought you were generalizing, saying the community's full of butthurted people. That's what "struck a nerve" on me, as there are a lot of people who have been trying to maintain a coherent coversation. But after reading your second post, and not being able to type your name properly in the first post, I thought I might had misread your first post. So I re-read, and turns out I'm mistaken, because you most certainly have not editted that post 6 hours ago. Freedom of speech is a great thing, so is irony.

Also, I think I should explain the main reason to why I highly dislike the idea of force-voting. It's common sense that a server that's widely popular, will keep and maintain their population no matter what. So if you have users force-vote, you'll get shitloads of votes. Which may result in other private servers using the same idea for voting, to be able to climb up the list. Point being, I don't want this to be a trend.

i would say the vote2play system could work, but not for newcomers. as a newcomer i wouldnt like to vote, because i should only vote, if i want to support the server. just starting and testing it out shouldnt force me to vote, maybe after a certain play time it would be a good system, tho.

Hmm. So I only started this thread for basically that reason, I never wanted the trend to be a dictatorship style of every server must be vote to play in order to have a higher population, and if your server doesn't do this, your population will suffer. So with that being said, thanks all for your opinions. I agree with the part you can do anything you want on your server, though in my opinion even if its your server some things are unethical. I guess desperation was running high. Why don't I quote a proverb too "desperate times call for desperate measures."
