    Win8 [ANSWERED] [FIXED]

anyone get shn editor to work properly on win 8?

I used to have an issue, where when id add an item to iteminfoserver it would give me an error when saving, (even with no empty row), idk what I did, but now it works on my win7 partition, but it doesn't work on my windows 8 partition. and this is the only thing stopping me from switching fully to windows 8.

what are all the programs/features needed to be installed to get shn editor v3d to work properly?

when I do a fresh install of Win7 (including updates) I cannot use the shn editor and have it save (and work on the server)

so there must be something I installed after that fixed my issue.

I believe the only things I installed where:
    pfyffi
    python 2.6
    blender
    3ds max 2011
    nifskope (and plugins for blender/3ds)
    nero plat. 11

Yes i have. setting it up on win8 requires a vm which changes the min amount of ram to at least 12gb and you need a good processor.

So what do i need to install on a fresh install of win7 ultimate 32 or 64 to get the shn editor to work? (and save)
i have no idea what i did before, but i needed to re partition my hdd so it not longer works for me. is it just a .net i have to install? or something else.

.Net Framework (i think at least 3.5) and you need to run it as Admin

Windows 8 is designed for tablets, why switch from w7 to w8?
