Hey

i just bought a new computer but it has windows 8
i asked on people & the shop where i bought it if it is possible to downgrade to windows 7 but it only can with windows 8 Pro? or are there other ways?

Or can i setup the server on windows 8 without problems?

i was doing that but it was a year ago their are updates in win8 and maybe now it can work?

There is still a iocp bug.
You can try to upgrade to windows 8.1 preview and try if the server starts. If not you need to buy windows 7 :D

any windows 8 pc can be downgraded to windows 7 .. well fresh install of 7 windows 8 just plain sucks.

Installing windows 7 but i get stuck at "where do you want to install windows"

when i try to select a disk it says : Windows cannot be installed to disk 0 partition 1.

when u get to the disk manager selection delete all the partitions i think its under advanced
dont create a new drive just click next and u should be set
as it will create a new drive auto.

But if it dont work every disk is gone then so i cant startup my computer anymore

just delete all the disks you see the partitions should be 1 with 100 meg your main 1 and a 3rd 1 this is normal delete them all
and then just click next it will make a new drive for you removing the windows 8 backup disk trust me u dont want windows 8

i try it on my Windows 8 it has no Errors and works perfect. well maybe i will find gay bugs but it can be fixed for sure,

I have set up a server on win 8 and all ran fine logged in fine and all. just have to know what your doing when it comes to windows. only issue was the horrible lag caused by win 8.
