I was thinking of like using the add-on for the Barclays Premier league thread I made in the sports section. So I was going to pretty much edit that thread every week once the games are played. And when there are huge games like, Man United vs Chelsea, we can make a new thread called like : [Betting]Man United Vs Chelsea
- Man United Vs Chelsea tomorrow at 1:00 PM EST. Make sure to vote!
and some background info of the game and such..
Would be a lot more exciting and there would be more competition, then lets say just a thread called Man United vs Chelsea - Yea guys, tomorrow theres a game at 1:00 PM EST. It's going to be a good one..

Also, since the add-on has a ranking system, at the end of the season we can make like a userbar for the top 3, or the first place winner(s).

While I like the idea of a betting system on here wouldn't it make more sense for there just to be a cassino or something where we can all gather to gamble points?

Yea we used to have a gambling add-on with texas hold'em, blackjack and some other stuff.
I remember playing it with other members, but it got boring pretty fast.
oh really? Why would it get boring. Wouldnt betting get boring if gambling did? sorry I love both and Im open to it all xD I just figured id put it out there.
People would just play blackJack by themselves, and then get so much money. The gambling add-on wouldn't really have anything to do with RageZone, just for pure entertainment. While, the sports betting add-on would be there for entertainment, but also to make the sports section more "active".
I mean it will bring a little more attention thats a given but I feel like some people would start a bet and no one would bet because they dont know the sport or teams or what not.

And, I'm pretty sure most people knows about Manchester United, since it is one of the most famous sports team out there.
The only problem I have with this, is the fact it's restricted to football. Yes, Football is sport, but the sports center is mainly football already. Not everyone likes football.
So basically, it's a VB mod which implements a betting system.
That's great, but... I fail to see how this mod is going to have any correlation to the Sports section AT ALL.
Not to mention everyone already knew it was going to be a dead section before it was made, so it being "inactive" is not an argument you can use. So really all we have here, is somebody crying because they made a big deal about how active the Sports section would be if it was implemented, but that never really happened.
Restrict users from betting that are not 18+
done.
PD: Mental could keep a % of the earnings, which should benefit RZ.

Well, football is the most popular sport in the world and pretty much everyone knows about it.
I never see much threads there about a basketball game/baseball game or whatever. Mostly all I see is a football game.
Anyways, this is just a suggestion so whatever Dan says goes.
