    Even more ridiculous :)

I'm pretty sure it IS that simple, and if not with this mobile version plugin, then definitely with another.

And even if there was not such plugin, any decent programmer could rewrite it so it would have manual switch.

I was ABOUT to post this! Darn! You beat me :P. But yeah, this method works like a charm! Jailbreak your phone, get SBSettings from Cydia/Icy, then get UserAgent Faker (UA Faker), enable it by going into the SBSettings (swiping finger on top of screen and ticking on).

    Yeh.

This is why you don't buy apple products. I'm not gonna bash them as I used to religiously buy their products. I thought that the iPhone was capable of at least the user agent switching, like the android is capable of. I can freely switch by switching from android to desktop, and only a reload of the web page is necessary. I can even run it in iPhone mode, don'tcha know. I request it not to be removed, because for some of us that are constantly on the go, we are often in areas with patchy 3G coverage. Without 3g, it's near impossible to load full web pages with ease.

Yeah I get lousy 3G coverage most of the time when I'm away from my WiFi hubs, I get limited data (150mb) and for general usage I think it saves a lot of bandwidth as well, plus it has no ads which I wouldn't look forward to.

Well, I think a general consensus would be to have an option to switch it on or off, like youtube does.

I vote that we get a more streamlined mobile interface.

That would require more "work" on dan's part.
