true, maybe a trusted user group or something a mod of that section can set you ass if he or she feels your good enough

It doesn't really sound fair to me.

1. 1000 posts is a lot
2. People would just spam to get 1000 posts.
3. It wouldn't be fair to good developers who don't have 1000 posts etc.
