    New Section?

Me and my friend Nick AKA ChapterFour were talking about how we think RaGEZONE needs a section where you can "apply" for an administrator/developer/mod/ job at another forum. Like, say an owners looking for a developer, and doesn't want to post anything. Just browse that section for people.

    How does this sound?

    Re: New Section?

Totally opposite instead of the owner posting the thread the user will.

Say I'm looking for a job as a Forum Moderator, I would post an application on RaGEZONE describing why I'm the best for the job etc.

Then an owner of a forum looking for an experienced Forum Moderator would browse the section searching for [FM] tags in the title.

Yes it's damn close to the recruitment board but would help generate some more posts.

That's not an appropriate idea according to me. Things regarding staff recruitment should be done on the respective forums itself. What good is it if owners of other forums open staff applications for their forums on RZ? A lot of people from here, who are unknown to that particular forum, would apply and there's no telling to what unknown staff members would be like.

Recruiting should always be done within members of a community.

Having this for jobs at other forums is a bad idea but it would be a good idea if we had a section for private server developers who could post their experiences and people could hire them, along with the Team Recruitment section, where owners can post about staff requirements.

It wasn't just for "forums" that was just the example I happened to use.

Edit: If you happen to be starting a "forum" you could build a reputable staff team before members arrive.

Not at all, It's a single person posting an application for a job, then an owner of a website / gaming network / forum will PM that person and either accept them and give them the website link, or talk to them further on MSN.

I don't see what your seeing.

and that application can be used for any website whatsoever. not just one website. and once the application gets accepted somewhere else, a moderator can close the thread.

    Re: New Section?

Have one or two dedicated sectional moderators to do that, Or like team recruitment ( I believe) make it so you have to follow a certain format to get it accepted. There is a number of ways to prevent spam.

    Re: New Section?

How about, they go to your own forum, and make a thread on applying there. Having random people just making threads, might be harder to find because no one will know if he is taken, or if he doesn't want to do it anymore.

    Re: New Section?

It's not My forum, this isn't a freaking advertisement.

Do it like the recruitment board but have them post I'm done or I'm not interested and in a week or so without posts lock / delete.

Edit: There is also a wider range of people here. With different skills.

    Re: New Section?

The team recruitment section is enough. If you add this section then the TR section would be useless because then server owners wouldn't need to make recruitment threads, they could just look in this new one.

So basically you'd be destroying a section for a section that does the same thing.

    Ragezone wouldn't be a good monster.ca

To make it simple, this idea just wouldn't work out. Too many flaws.
