Ragecraft used to be subscription only. And there have been sub only competitions. I dont think it works because not all subscribed people post in the subscription zone let alone look in it.
From past experiance, sub only comps dont generally work.

Being a dedicated RaGEZONE member is not about how long you have been here, but how active you are, I post about 3+ posts a day according to my statistics. Doesnt that mean I am dedicated? I spend most of my day on RaGEZONE.
