There was a commercial about it here in the Netherlands about the Car Insurance. You've to pay for one company for the full year and some customer found out that a accident only happens once in the 7,5 years and called that company.
Then some logo showed from the company: "DitZo" and probably told them it is possible.
Anyway, that was just one commercial. I've to agree on that part. I mean, there are some possible subs to get such as the 3 day's, 1 week, month's and even year subscriptions. And I must say that they are pretty cheap.

Also, I don't think you would "INCREASE" your subscription. It would be disabled, disabling all sub. features such as a name, new sections, and arcade access... and it won't come back unless the sub. is enabled again, therefore making the sub. the same length as it's suppose to be.

Nope. When you buy a sub, it is effective since the time you bought it.
You can't just disable it for no good reason, vacation or not. See Rish's example.

Like this, one's house is still present when one is away, just like your account is present when you are away.
In the end, your one month oragnge sub would last 30 days of your online time(supposing you'd enable it when you come in and disable when you leave), you spend like an hour per day here, so it would last 720 days.

You are not purchasing a different color username from Dan, you are DONATING and having a different rank is Dan's way of thanking you. He is not a business and the subscription is not a product you have purchased from him.
You could still have your subscription, but be able to choose if you want the sub username color or the original.
Why don't you make it costs like one day to disable it?
That way people won't disable it when going offline and enabling it when logging back on. Only when they are gone for more then a day..

I mean, when someone would want to disable the subscription, it would cost 1 day of your subscription to do so. So minus 1 day to disable it (enabling it would be free or you could charge them for it too).
That way people will think twice about disabling it. Because disabling it for less then 2 days doesn't give any profit anymore. In fact, it would make their subscription end sooner.
