[Suggestion] Name Change System.

Hey everyone.

To subscribers - Is it annoying when you have to wait for
your name change untill MentaL logs on? True, right? Well,
I do! Why not make a system that checks if you're a subscriber,
then a textbox that asks for the new name, checks if it's for
bidden (e.g c0ck, s3x, pin3s). Then changes your name.
You can only do that once a week so people won't change it like
crazy.

Creating such a system in my mind all that work that goes into it would be silly when waiting that extra while isn't really all that big of a deal..

i honestly dont see whats the big deal with this.
just means one more added thing to go wrong.

Only subscribers just get a section in the User CP for a name change.

A name change system can't be implimented even though vBulletin has such a system. However activating that system is for everyone and that sort of kills off one of the reasons people donate. As far as I know there isn't a script for username changes for single user groups but it's best it's done through MentaL to control how frequently people change their names.

Why would it kill the reason of donating?

Nope,

I want to do it manually simply so i have a record of the user/ip and others changing, plus i can deny anyone I want and it avoids any person stealing/abusing name changes.

And what exactly are you subscribing to? Och that's right, nothing. You send Dan some cash and in return you're given a new name colour and perks such as access to the Neverland Ranch and the arcade. You have subscribed to nout.

They make a Name Change System made by the vBulletin Developers. Get that addon, it can be a great help. :) If you need download I got :D Plus 1,300 More Addons xD

Or, Make a system to REQUEST the name change rather then flooding the forums in the subscriber section.

Log: Current Name, New Name, Date, etc needed.
