Even in the Spamzilla I would love to see no flamewars but that's impossible because even the mods flame (not talking about myself but in the general).
I care alot about flamers tbh, mainly because I don't like them but because flame wars brings a bad reputation to the forum and it's not nice to flame anyone.
Rule 1,
Moderators try to deal with flame only when it becomes out of hand or just offensive. Minor flaming or remarks are normally left untouched due to the fact if we had to remove every minor nick and pick we might as well just moderate every post before it is allowed as we would be there all day.
It all depends on the degree and level and each moderator and section has there own tolerance level in regard to the subject. Also some thing you may see as offensive or flame may not be seen by others as such. This also explains another reason we normally only act when needed.
In regard to the mods reply,
I do not agree with this moderators reply how ever I do not know the original post to really give accurate feed back. If you where just moaning as some one said some hard to swollow facts or an accurate feed back you did not like then I would personally INFRACT YOU.
My GFX policy is if you complain about an issue when there is not one or when you have caused it your self I will infract you. Sounds harsh but just imagine how many complaints we get a day from users who complain about nothing. LOADS
Flaming are dealt with, but sometimes it's a different case.

It's not always things that are released over and over again, most of the time it's just things that had a "failure to launch" or it didn't come out quite like they expected and they'll even say that in the release or whatever it is, yet there is still the flamers that say "OMG YOU SUCK BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN! CUT YOUR THROAT! I HOPE YOUR MOTHER GETS A YEAST INFECTION FOR CREATING YOU BECAUSE YOU RELEASED THIS." The point of the forum is to be entitled to your opinion. You may say that the flamers' opinions matter too, yes they do matter, but they can put their opinion in without attempting to make people feel like they should've never been born. js'in.
While I do understand where you're coming from, it wasn't a small thing, it was people putting down custom creations of mine and many others. I don't mind some minor things like "this sucks". I do mind things like "Why do you even try go to another forum and put your shitty work there" (NOTE: That's an example of some of the types of things I've been told.) Eventually, my work got better, but it's not encouraging for new users to hear things like that. Posts like that lead to more posts like itself, and it got really out of hand when that happened to me. It wasn't until I requested for the thread(s) to be closed that a moderator did something about it. I don't expect moderators to ban or infract ever little thing, but it doesn't have to be a flame war for it to get out of hand.
1] If you are happy with your work just deal with the bickering. It comes with the line of work trust me I know from experience as why I may be the GFX mod I started life at ragezone as a developer for gunz. I have heard every single put down in the book. I just ignore these people as they more likely could not do better if there life depended on it so why care?
2] Some times you need to read in between the ball shit. Why on many occasions its just small people being ignorant there is some times valid remarks even in the trash. Try to look for the good in there comments and dont rise to such people.

If users give you a way to respond with out attacking then hit them with politeness. Sooner or latter the fact they can not get a rise out of you will just mean they give up. Look at me. I am one of the most out spoken people in Ragezone. I even tell mental off well I attempt to any way. As long as you dont rise to the small minded people and have valid comments you win in the end. When you rise to them you just end up hurting your own reputation.
3] Moderators can not always check every thread sadly. We do attempt to skim the threads but normally we have to be notified of an issue. If you look you will notice times when a super mod will deal with issues before a section mod simply because they noticed first. Just create a report on any problem post and it will normally get dealt with asap. If there is an issue with a mod ignoring your requests with no valid reason then private message a super moderator. Most super mods will deal with the issue asap. Even we moderators report posts in other sections too.

Then spamzilla is not the section for you. You're doing a good job of staying away, keep it up.
And not everyone flames. There is so much love in that section between friends, we just flame people that ruin the conversation.
Flaming is apart of forums, it's just the way it is. Besides, it says no flaming in the main rules of RaGEZONE. If people don't listen, infract them until they learn. But you can never fully get away from it.

I would agree to this rule, but then I thought.. man, this is the internet. I see inappropriate things happen every single day, and we're not even interacting with each other in a physical persona. Plus, the general concept of "flaming" can be distorted to any mannerism you'd like, from anything to racism to simply saying "your release is a piece of shit." Which in some cases, flame is a plausible option; sometimes even necessary. If someone is constantly releasing half-assed modifications, or improvements or just general releases; I would continuously flame them until they've figured to quit half-assing their work.
RaGEZoNE is used to create MMORPGs, and in the reality of it; these rules aren't enforced in really any of the servers RZ helps create, so why enforce it here?
