I think flaming other users of the forum is great! I love to flame someone who deserves it, and perhaps someone who doesn't as well. I believe it's just a case of how to treat the flame, which in my perspective, just leads to a higher post count and some funny, meaningless arguments on the interwebs.
Alright mate, it would be an good idea if this wasn't added yet. In this case it's added and so the suggestion isn't that good anymore and thus that it have been added way before the forum even started.
Anyway i like the idea if the rule wasn't added yet and then I'm a 100% sure that it would be handed over to the rules in this case not.
On every forum I've ever been on, ever managed or even ever heard of - have had this rule listed as their 1st, 2nd or 3rd rule.
It's not conceivable to me, that the people who Are flaming - don't know about this rules.
It's not about a "New rule for all sections" - it's about common sense. People should know the rules that they agree to abide by when Accessing or CAUSING Access to a website.
Don't post stupid things like the Moderators are not doing their job. If they weren't doing their job - there would be a whole lot more issues than Flaming posts.
On a forum like this, where there are Moderators for different sections - there is no guarantee that the post in question has even been read by a Moderator.
Therefore; I suggest this rule;
Rule X:
Use common sense, and if you see someone who's abusing someone or is breaking the rules - use the Report function and Categories kindly put there by vBulletin and the Staff of RaGEZONE.
It's hard to enforce rules on a large community like this, especially when not everyone is reporting the abuse. Report EVERYTHING, Visitor Messages, Private Messages, Threads or Posts - if you deem them to be inappropriate - and the Moderators are sure to handle it.
I don't like the flaming rule at all. For one, peoples views differ, people see things as flaming and others see it as a joke, so everybody would be complaining "ah this guys flaming omg" when others would see it as a joke. If you want this rule in Spamzilla, then it's definitely a no. Spamzilla is a section where you're supposed to have fun, you aren't supposed to take it seriously and if you do, then you're in for a hard time regardless.
Wonders how long before any one notices this is a month old thread that was bumped

Yeah, we all view different things as inappropriate.
I would feel comfortable to let the Moderators deem what's inappropriate or not. Racism, Homophobia, etc - goes right out the window.
But apart from that, I see no problem in telling a joke or two, at my own or someone else's expense - but I know where to draw the line.

But, this thread is old, and I have noticed that this rule hasn't been really been taken seriously by a lot of people, and this thread hasn't made a difference on the rule since it has been put up. So, I will be requesting a "close thread".
In any case, thanks for the people that supported this.
It's a rubbish suggestion that's why! The no flame rule is enforced when needed.
