XenForo would be a pretty good idea but it'd take me a bit to get used to it.
Same here. I've used Xenforo but i don't really like it as it's just different then vBulletin. It's sure going to take me a bit here to get used on Xenforo before actually willing to get on and use it.
That's why i mostly prefer if Dan is going to try it out then he should make an Demo site where people are actually able to test it out. So people can feel and touch Xenforo and get used to it and if their comments on it is good then he might have a chance of using it. If he's feeling like using it.
I don't quite get why people still keep on saying something sucks and then act like those who think differently are completly wrong about their opinion.
What type of forum software you personally like is your opinion, don't force others to have the same opinions as you.
I personally believe that both vB, IPB and XenForo have good and bad points, none of them is better than the other, it all depends on what you are looking for.
Dan tried XenForo, and right now i find that vB is better. If he would change his mind in the future then im sure he would do like Facemelt0r said, make a demo and let the community decide.
So for those who hate vB for some reason, quit or sit tight and wait if Dan would decide to change to another software because he found that better at that time.
Why would using outdated software benefit anyone?
