As a bystander, ttvtt appears to be in the wrong - evidenced mainly by his unclear statements. The OP, on the other hand, was well spoken and easy to understand laying out his case plainly and succinctly.
Maybe neither of them were attempting to scam the other person but they had a misunderstanding due to broken English.
