I'm all for the community!
I've started, along with Shimmy a development community dedicated to open sourcing, sharing (and of course appropriately crediting people's hard work) all of our knowledge!

What we're about
This community is open to Developers old and new! If you've never had a scrap of development in you before, but you've got the spirit and the time and want to develop on JD so badly. Then come and join!

If you've already got the know how, the knowledge and the determination to make our community better, come and join!

The Catch
But here's the catch! If you want to ask a question it's going to take the community a long time to get back to you, because we won't just answer it, we'll write a whole tutorial posted right here in the Tutorial section of Jade Dynasty on RageZone. Making our answer completely open to anybody and everybody (and of course you, the person who originally asked the question)

Rules of the community:

Rules:
1. Please don't chat spam :) Nobody wants to come online and see 900 missed messages

2. Please don't assume peolpe will help you, they're under no obligation :)

3. Never direct a question about development at anybody imparticular, simply write the question and anybody that can answer and wants to, will.

4. Some of the experienced devs have particular days that they answer questions on, cus they're either testing things, or running an actual server. Ask when you join who has set days.

5. If you write a tutorial or release anything on RageZone, that has had help from the JDDC, please put [JDDC] at the start of the title for the thread.

6. Anybody that requires credit, you need to give it to them.

Those are the rules, so hope you get lots of help in the JDDC :)

7. All tutorials posted on behalf of the Jade Dynasty Development Community have [JDDC] at the start of the title.

8. All members are registered or logged in via facebook. (You must be able to post) on RageZone.

This is a FANTASTIC idea man, as I was already added to this on Skype :) I do recommend people to join. I do understand the competition in developing ANY kind of server. And that when someone else makes a server it adds to the competition. But most of us do this for fun and or a hobby. I am willing to share information on things about JDPS and other Private servers as well. But there is a limit i will go too. Granted I don't know everything about Linux, and I never will.

While I will help people out. I wont give them the DIRECT answer to their issue. I will lead them in the right direction as that is how myself and I bet a lot of other people here learned.

The idea is definitely cool.

I personally have my own development tutorial I work on in my spare time.

Sounds like hot air at the moment though, no idea who you are, you have never posted any help on anything, etc etc. I'm tied up most of the time so I'm not sure a Skype chat full of people asking me questions is on my agenda, but if it is as you say then maybe it will be interesting.

Edit: Ok, scratch that. You made a couple of useful posts already. I'm interested in helping the community (obviously) and have no interest in keeping shit to myself. My Skype is pretty easy to get, but I'm not posting it in open forum.
