Wolves. The AI. They aren't hostile unless you are. There is a real RPG sense to them, they begin a neutral faction but you can turn them to an ally or a foe with your own actions. You need to win over each wolf individually to change his (or her) loyalty to their pack, but upset any one of them and you will have to deal with the wrath of the entire pack.

Zombie Pigmen are similar, but can never be allied. Therefore... Wolves ftw. :D

My favourite mobs are wolves and ocelots. I kinda like the idea having a pet along your side in Minecraft. Wolves are handy for when you're at your weakest too.

I love Ocelots. Why? Because Creepers are scared of them! But my god are they hard to tame!

Do cows count as a "mob"? XD Yea, the cows are cool. I actually dislike pigs more than Creepers. I think they're horrible.

I don't have any trouble taming Ocelots. No more than taming Wolves. Here's a guide, in case you've never seen it before.

1. Have raw fish. Lots of them, coz taming any animal is a random chance.
2. Walk within range of the ocelot (be able to see her clearly) and then stop before they run off. You can get quite close at walking speed.
3. Stand motionless with fish in hand. Do not move the mouse or touch the keyboard. Even turning your head will startle it.
4. Wait until ocelot has fully approached you and turned to face you.
5. Their tail will drop when they ask "I can haz fishy plx? Lookie *very* tasty." XD If you click to give the fish before they ask for it you will get love, but no respect. ;)

P.S. Just reading that back, it may help that I don't use a mouse, but a track-ball. I can hover over the action button ready to feed without touching the motion ball. Holding a mouse perfectly still when pressing one of the buttons could well be very hard. If your mouse still has a ball, you could take it out, or lift the mouse off the surface... but ball-less laser mice will pick up movement even when you let go of them. (they sux XD)
