[Guide] How to apply skins on Downloaded Minecraft.

This tut will teach you how to change skins in minecraft. (downloaded version not online).

First you need to find where the Minecraft files are located.
In Windows. Press Windows + R (to open the run function) then type in. "%appdata%" (without the " Quotation Marks).

Then there will be a folder named .Minecraft.

C:\Users\flameswor10\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft

In there
Go to

C:\Users\Steven.K.TAN\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin

The bin folder. There will be a minecraft.jar.

Open it with Winzip (or 7zip) (rename to .zip) and replace the char.png file with the file image you edited.

Rename the .zip file into .jar again after you replaced it, then now, you can play minecraft (the downloaded versoin) with your new skin :D

Why not just go to Minecraft.net and change it there lot less work and you might fuck up on this way.

I use the downloaded version as It's faster, and I don't like playing games on webbrowsers.

This thread title is misleading, as this does not allow you to change your skin. You're merely editing the default skin for your character. If you play multiplayer using this method, everyone that uses the default skin will now show as having the modified skin you replaced. Likewise, other people will not see your edit, and will just see the default character skin.

Its k bud, And when you change your skin on the website it changes it on the downloaded version to if you paid for it.
