serverfiles with olymp client (sum1 help thnks)

does anyone know what client i can use with the msrf 2.9 or what serverfiles i should use with the olymp client? as far as i know im useing the serverfiles provided my the idiots guide 2.9 well... whatever client i use it comes out like this...

soo.... lets say i wanna use the olymp client.. what serverfiles should i use?
lets say i wanna use the 2.9 ones... what client should i use? i tried random ones with this one i tried olymp i tried the chinese it all comes out like this or else it just says "connecting to server please wait" i tried tons of interfaces some of em screw up some of em dont.. currently i use this

olymp client / msrf 2.9 (idiot guide provided) / illousiondragon.net interface

i tried the origianl interface that comes it the serverfiles but it just screws it up...

so what i wanna know is what client with what files WORK? anyone want free software,games etc? to help me out with this?? if so leave me a pm and ill let u into my ftp and download whateverrr you want if just sum1 help me with this..

as for as i know this forum is a bit slow.. maybe this little brieb call it what you want, can help me sort this thing out

To be honest - the mir3 section on here is pretty dead - My guess is that as RZ kept saying it will close if it got no donations then people moved onto a more stable forum and thus why any questions on here take Months to get Answered.

May I suggest you try LOMCN as a alternative and before posting go through the posts on there and you will find the links + the answers you need, as we have discussed most things to death by now.

What you need is the following :

JOB Server files - no guides about and not all translated (the ones people are sharing).
MIR3 1.4 client with 1.45 Update.

Im afraid there is no easy path to this - 2.9 is fully english and documented but the client is OLD - meaning your going to have trouble getting patches. Most people running a private server has switched now to job - so you wont find the patches on there site even.

Is there a real great need to make your own server? Why not just play on one, its a lot simpler trust me.

hmm i figured that... but im getting confused.. what exactly is JOB server files is it the 3G ones? as far as i know i play euromir... but i like to make problems for myself.. i know when i get this thing to go ingame after

Olymp client is only for JoB serverversion and wont run properly on 2.9 server

Right, this is probably the best bet for anyone thinking of playing with MIR3 Server files...

First of all, getting the server files is not Uber easy but they are around if you happen to know where to look. 9/10 the files will come all Chinese - so there is your first problem your going to come across. Now its not rocket science to sit down and translate the files, if you run the server As-Is then it will work, spawn mobs and so forth - just they all will be in chinese, including the NPCS etc.

Now I sat down and translated every single part of the game mostly on my own Using nothing more than Babel web site,MS Word with Chinese Plugin and a bit of common sense. I had at my disposal the old 2.9 database, its easy enough to work out evetually what item is what.

Now we move onto the client - the JOB (or 3G as you like to call it) is very easy to get, the chinese site provides LOADS of links, combine that with a download manager and it takes next to no time to grab the whole client. This client is mostly complete and the ganme will work as - is. Later on you get yourself a decent mir3.exe with different added features (3G things such as glowing armour, new swords etc).

No-one said it was easy to install and run a mir3 server, the people who have done it have learned over many years, which is why its second nature to take one look at the files and have them running in next to no time.

The main part of MIR3 is thus:

Install MS-SQL
Restore the databases.
Set up the ODBC for the server
Set up the ini files etc on the server so it is talking to the right IP and Db etc.

That just about covers it really.

As I suggested, instead of banging your head off the wall trying to make your own server, why not just join one and have done with it? The people running a JOB server now are way ahead already... you though have a long road ahead of you..
